April 12 ~ International Day of Pink

To further recognize and to stand up against bullying, the TDSB participates in the International Day of Pink on April 12. On this day, our staff and students – and communities around the world – unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of bullying. The Day of Pink is more than just a symbol of a shared belief in celebrating diversity – it’s also a commitment to being open minded, accepting differences and learning to respect each other.

On Wednesday, April 12, we urge every member of our TDSB community to show support by wearing pink, and taking action to promote diversity and prevent homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of bullying.
Of course, standing up against bullying doesn’t just happen on one day. School Administrators are asked to review, share and implement (as appropriate) the following documents to support their efforts in creating a positive school climate that is free from bullying.
